(More customer reviews)I love this tape!Found it after surgery on the tip of my nose leaving an open wound that I had to wash, apply vaseline, and re-bandage at least twice a day.The tip of the nose is a hard spot to bandage:ran the paper tape up the bridge of my nose, either side of the nose, etc. Pulling the tape off became increasingly painful as the skin became increasingly raw. On a check-up trip the nurse re-bandaged with a wonderful tape: it would stretch a bit and, more importantly, came off the skin with no harm to the skin.And it could be reapplied at least once.When I couldn't find it at the local pharmacy, they suggested I call the Doctor's office.They gave me the name (Hypafix) but didn't know where to buy it locally; suggested the internet.
Of course, I went to Amazon.com; paid the extra price to receive it the next day (already have premium shipping).The call was made at 5 pm; product arrived before 10 am. THE FAST DELIVERY WAS REALLY APPRECIATED BY MY SKIN!!I carried this wonderful tape with me for my 3 months in Florida. Unfortunately, I got a bad cut on my ankle; medics felt stitches would not hold because of my elderly thin skin. So they bandaged it and gave me extra bandaging materials for the next few days.FORTUNATELY, I HAD MY HYPAFIX.It worked well on the contours of the inner ankle area.With patient cleaning and re-bandaging, the cut has healed without incident and is nearly invisible after just 2 months.
I left my partial box in Florida; and, once home again, immediately ordered a new box (standard 2-day premium shipping this time) and have it ready for the next emergency.
AGAIN, THE AVAILABILITY AND HASTY DELIVERY WAS THE GREATEST PART OF THIS ORDER FROM AMAZON.

(More customer reviews)I love this stuff for quickly getting hair out of me or my daughter's face. It works well to tie off braids and pony tails, or twisted and used as a headband. It's very strong when twisted or braided and stretchy and can be re-used a few times after you get a headband sized and tied off. It causes no damage to my hair or my daughters. The range of colors and very inexpensive cost compared to other headbands make it nice for casual wear as well.
Also works well for it's original purpose, under athletic tape to keep tape from sticking to the skin, can be used to tie around socks to hold them up, and a small piece can help prevent a blister from rubbing. It tears very easily off the roll so you don't need scissors to use it.

It sticks well, one roll will last a LONG time, and is thinner than moleskin. My daughter had fairly new boots and by putting this tape on the 'hot' spots, none turned into blisters.

(More customer reviews)Trainer's Choice "Premium Athletic Tape" is exactly what was needed for wrapping and protecting our knuckles and wrists when my son and I workout on our heavy bag (with or without gloves). This tape is far superior to the generic cloth "wound care" tape we were using before finding "Trainer's Choice", and here are my observations:

+ Good Adhesion; this tape stays put once in place and while the instructions advise "Remove hair from area", that really isn't always practical and not really needed as the tape sticks will even on my fairly hairy arms and wrists and also does not rip out the hair when it is removed

+ Strong; holds up well through tough workouts hitting the speed bag and heavy bag

+ Slightly Stretchy; allows for some joint movement, yet still provides compression and support

This is very good sports tape that is comfortable, stays in place, and provides great protection to the covered areas!Highly Recommended!

KT Tape Pre-Cut Elastic Kinesiology Therapeutic Tape Review

(More customer reviews)I first learned about kinesiology therapeutic taping during a flare up of elbow tendinitis. I'm an avid climber, am prone to repetitive stress injuries and tendinitis, and am not good at "resting," so worked with my physical therapist on a plan that would allow me to recover my elbow while not taking an extended break from climbing. Part of that plan included weekly applications, in the PT office, of kinesiology therapeutic tape. The tape stayed on a couple of days, provided pain relief, and allowed me to gently keep working my arms without aggravating my tendinitis. Unfortunately, though, the tape wasn't commercially available to consumers, so after that round of PT, I went back to traditional athletic taping when I had to for my wrists and knees.

Enter KT Tape. I first tried it for my knees a few months ago -- I don't like to wear a brace, or to use McConnell taping because they affect the natural movement of the knee, when really what I need is just a tiny bit of support to keep my knee tracking properly. KT Tape is described as providing "muscle pain relief, increased mobility, and enhanced recovery," rather than "support," but I find that when I KT Tape my knees according to the directions included with the tape, my knees are less sore at the end of a workout (running, biking, hiking, etc.) and my recovery is much faster. Without KT Tape, I have to rest my knees between impact workout days to recover; when I'm using KT Tape, I can do workouts on back to back days, and even 2 a day.

I haven't tried it for other injuries, but I'm currently rehabbing a case of bicep tendinitis and am looking forward to giving it a try for that. I also heard from a friend that kinesiology therapeutic tape (in general) has helped her avoid shoulder surgery so far; and, have heard a lot of chatter about its use for Plantar Fasciitis (though that's one malady I'm lucky to not struggle with, knock on wood)!

And, quick hits: I love that I don't have to carry scissors with this tape, since it's precut. The adhesive is effective; I've had it on up to four days in a backcountry hiking setting, which exceeded my expectations by about three days. I have yet to do an "adhesive test" in less strenuous settings, but I believe the manufacturer's claim that it would stick for up to 4 or 5 days. I am looking forward to picking some up in the beige color, which will hopefully be a bit more subtle in between workouts than the bright pink of my first box (which garnered questions from almost everybody who sees it). The videos on the website are easy to follow and don't require a PT degree. And, the product is affordable, and doesn't require a trip to the physical therapist.

Micropore Paper Tape: White 2" X 10 Yds, Box of 6 Review

(More customer reviews)My "Wound Care" specialist recommended the 3M Micropore Tape for me since I am very sensitive to just about every other tape\adhesive that has been tried in the past. This has been a really good find as after two weeks of use I haven't had any reaction and my condition will likely require use of the tape for several more months.

The tape is strong and holds very well. I like that it is perforated and can be hand torn into convenient sizes at about 2" increments. Like all long term use tapes, it will leave some sticky adhesive residue on your skin when it is removed, but it is fairly easy to remove by gently rubbing the area with a warm dampened washcloth.

We also use Box of 4 3M Micropore Surgical Tape 3" x 10 yds White 3M 1535-03 as well, with the same great results!

Kinesio Tex Tape Review

(More customer reviews)I tried the tape on my shoulder/neck area and left in on overnight. By the next morning, I had blisters along the edges of the tape. When I removed the tape, the blisters formed a red line that showed the outline of where the tape had been. I have had some problems with rashes from adhesives before but was surprised by how big these blisters were. I like the tape itself and am able to use it on my foot without any problems so far. Just caution to anyone that has sensitivity to adhesive to buy only one roll until you see if you will be able to use it.

1.Can't get an accurate measure because of 1" intervals.

a) You're using it wrong.The intervals are to keep it from recoiling on it's own as you're pulling it out.When you press the button to recoil, there are no intervals.(hint: read the directions)Also, this gave the same measurements as a standard tape measure.

2.Broken out of the box, bad clicking noise.

a) It's a feature, not a defection.See answer above.You can also hold the button as you pull it out to avoid the clicking, but release the button when you're done so it doesn't recoil before you're ready.

3.The pin keeps falling out.

a) I don't know if it was the company's intention, but I see this as a feature.The only time it pops out is if the tape isn't straight and/or flush, which would give an inaccurate measurement anyway.

Her coxis was a problem area where the skin was thin and she had no body fat for cushioning. Diapers are abrasive and immediate damage happened when the area is left unprotected. After much trial and error, I found that these bandages allow the skin to breath while protecting it from the diaper. With the Amazon "Subscribe and save" I am able to afford these for every change.
