Dr. Jill's (Budin) Hammertoe Splint Review

A waste of $16.90 (including shipping).Could only get my foot in a shoe that was too large, would have to buy a new shoe wardrobe to accommodate it; uncomfortable to walk on; cannot wear with sandals.Best solution I've found: Johnson & Johnson waterproof adhesive tape, flesh-color.. cut about a 7 inch piece, tape one end to the ball of your foot, thread it through your two toes pulling the afflicted toe down toward the sole of your foot and anchor the other end of the tape on the ball of your foot.Works much better.

Product Description:
This splint is constructed of comfortable, but sturdy materials which gently extend the hammertoe, allowing it to lie straight; thus, pain is alleviated in the top and tip of the toe. It will help prevent the toe from becoming worse, allows it to bear weight normally, and prevents the unsightly bulges in footwear that hammertoes can cause. The well padded bottom part of the splint will cushion the ball of the foot, giving you extra comfort. Constructed of thin, sturdy, cushioned materials which will easily fit in any style footwear.

Silipos Softzone Pure Gel Gel Metatarsal Pad #10465 Review

Silipos Softzone Pure Gel Gel Metatarsal Pad #10465

I like to hike in Arizona and found that many times my metatarsal pads would take a beating, especially when doing a lot of hiking downhill. Uphill, not so bad. Downhill, the constant pounding on the feet was bad, to the point where one 15-mile hike left me with what I can only describe as internal tissue damage that eventually worked its way out about a month after the hike (along with external blisters). I had custom insets made by a foot doctor, used a variety of gel pads, combinations of socks, tape, mole skin, trekking poles, different hiking boots, and so on. Nothing eliminated the resulting agitated, sensitive metatarsal pads after each long hike.

Last month I tried these Silipos Pads on a tough 11-miler near Four Peaks and I finished the hike with no blisters or damage in the metatarsal area of either foot. So, I'm happy with this result and will continue to use these pads.
